b'EXPANSIONS & CONSTRUCTIONTotal SF via expansion & new construction: 535,000Phase II at Distribution Park North With their properties selling at a brisk pace in recent years, the four WCIDC industrial parks clustered around RIDC Westmoreland Innovation Center were beginning to run low on available parcels. In 2022, we made significant strides to refresh the countys portfolio of industrial properties by embarking on the second phase of development at Westmoreland Distribution Park North. Phase II will transform 78.8 acres of raw land in the East Huntingdon Township park into pad- Westmoreland Distribution ready sites of 21.4, 10.4 and 4.1 acres. We projectPark North Phase lIthat these properties could accommodate up to 625,000 SF of building space. The project kicked off in October, and the relatively mild fall weather enabled crews to make significant headway through the end of 2022. Work on the shovel-ready sites is expected to be completed by summer 2023.We could not have embarked on this project without state support. The $6.3 million project is funded in part by a $2,032,750 state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant from the Office of the Budget. That grant was announced in May, and a $2.25 million low-interest PIDA loan from Department of Community and Economic Development was approved in August. The rest of the cost will be covered by the WCIDC funds, and Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland served as the PIDA loan underwriter.Expansion New ConstructionPerformance Foodservice undertook a project toWyatt Incorporated began work in 2022 on a new, nearly double the footprint of its Reinhart facility in130,000 SF facility at I-70 Industrial Park in South Westmoreland Distribution Park East-West in 2022. TheHuntingdon Township. A Robinson Township-based project added 155,000 SF of space to its 169,000 SFconstruction contractor that operates a woodworking facility and included rehabilitation and the addition ofmillshop in Monessen, Wyatt expects to move its cold storage as well as machinery and equipment. Thewoodworking operation to the new building by summer expansion creates 24 jobs and supports approximatelyof 2023. The facility also will manufacture curtain 300 other positions at the East Huntingdon facility.wall.
