b'We also helped publicize the states pandemic response by informing hundreds of our local business contacts of the following initiatives:l The Department of Community and Economic Developments (DCED) Business-to-Business Interchange Directory, which connects organizations and businesses directly to manufacturers of COVID-19-related products and supplies.l The Department of Labor & Industrys Job-Hiring Portal, which connected life-sustaining businesses with job-seekers in April and May.l The DCEDs Manufacturing Call to Action Portal, which sought to mobilize manufacturers that could produce critical medical supplies and products.l The Department of Human Services feeding and sheltering survey, which helped the state collect information on capabilities across the state to match those in need with available resources.l The commonwealths Critical Medical Supplies Procurement Portal, which helped the state identify manufacturers and distributors of medical supplies needed by hospitals and medical facilities.Additionally, we shared CDC safety protocols, business restrictions/ closure protocols from the state, and guides for safely reopening nonessential businesses with new safety protocols after the spring closures. And, of course, we adopted new safety protocols in our own oce to protect sta and visitors. Those measures included:l Mandatory work-from-home during the initial weeks of the pandemic l Flexible work-from-home scheduling in subsequent monthsl Installed plexiglass dividersl Required all visitors to wear masksl Mask wearing in all shared spacesl Voluntary temperature checks of in-oce stal When possible, meeting virtually instead of in person; necessary in-person meetings observed CDC protocols and often were scheduled outdoors at worksites to reduce riskl Increasing cleaning of high-touch surfaces5'
